As a medical malpractice paralegal, you will play an essential role in preparing for trials, conducting research, and managing documents, contributing to the success of our high-stakes cases.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, including organizing exhibits, preparing witness lists, and drafting trial documents.
Conduct thorough research and analysis of medical records and legal documents related to medical malpractice cases.
Manage and organize case files, ensuring all documents are accurately maintained and easily accessible.
Coordinate and communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather necessary information and support for cases.
Draft and file legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests, in compliance with Florida state court rules.
Provide administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, and handling correspondence.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience as a paralegal in medical malpractice, nursing home, and/or products liability.
Previous trial experience is preferred.
In-depth knowledge of Florida state court rules.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Client-oriented focus with a professional demeanor.
Initiative, analytical thinking, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
