Who We're Seeking:
We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Litigation Assistant to join our team. As a valued member of our firm, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of case management while working closely with our attorneys and clients as a key element.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take complete ownership of litigation case management.
  • Operate standard office equipment, including a personal computer, copiers, scanners, facsimile, and telephone.
  • Prepare correspondence, memoranda, and other legal documents from written and oral drafts.
  • Review completed documents thoroughly for accuracy in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting.
  • Open new files, prepare and collect conflict of interest checks, and maintain client and general files.
  • Conduct periodic reviews for possible storage of closed files and prepare files for closed storage.
  • Work independently to manage timing and action plans for completing department functions and preparing correspondence, reports, and other documents ahead of need.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in general litigation.
  • High school diploma: a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • An understanding of law office policies and legal document requirements.
  • The ability to read and write for minor editing of routine law office correspondence and legal case matters.
  • The ability to perform non-complex arithmetic calculations.
  • Experience maintaining records and filing systems.
  • The ability to transcribe legal documents, correspondence, and reports from rough drafts or dictation.
  • Fast and accurate typing skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proofreading ability for grammatical, typographical, or spelling errors.

Pay, Benefits, & Additional Details:

  • $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 negotiable based upon experience.
