We are seeking a Finance Controller with experience in hospitality accounting and join on our team based in Solon, OH!

The controller will oversee the financial operations of our restaurant group. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing financial strategies, creating budgets, managing financial statements, overseeing accounts payable and receivables, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform proforma financial analysis, including evaluating potential purchases of existing franchise locations, and participate in the annual/ongoing budgeting process.
• Compile the statement of cash flows and generate both financial and operational financial reports.
• Review month-end close activities in a timely manner and assist with year-end work papers for audit/tax purposes.
• Supervise accounting staff, including a remote offshore team, and manage daily and monthly accounting activities.
• Create accounting standard operating procedures and ensure compliance with GAAP and other financial regulations.
• Utilize accounting software to efficiently manage financial data.
• Conduct site visits as required and effectively communicate with direct reports, management, and other stakeholders to meet project deadlines.
• Execute various other accounting functions and provide ad hoc analysis as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required. CPA license preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Accountant, with at least 3 years in a supervisory accounting role.
• Minimum 5 years' accounting experience working with multiple entities simultaneously required.
• Comprehensive understanding of GAAP, tax laws, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Prior experience with accounting software is preferred.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple responsibilities effectively.
