Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage brand communications and marketing materials, including one-pagers, client presentations, educational and advocacy materials, the company website, social media, and more.
  • Lead client communication efforts, covering daily news clips, new legislation introductions, administrative rule updates, evening committee coverage, weekly newsletters, election updates, and monthly reports.
  • Oversee all internal communication efforts within the team.
  • Prepare and distribute committee agendas weekly, assist in JLEC preparation and reporting.
  • Maintain/input internal calendar items as needed (annual list of CB, JCARR meetings, session/committee dates).
  • Maintain current contact lists of elected officials, clients, etc.

Client Communications:

  • Distribute relevant articles, news clips, press releases, etc., daily.
  • Share new legislation upon introduction.
  • Provide updates on administrative rules and Controlling Board items weekly.
  • Cover committee proceedings with testimony/supporting documents as assigned (requires evening hours).
  • Prepare/write legislative reports as directed
  • Distribute board/commission appointments as assigned.
  • Develop and maintain voter guides for clients during election seasons.

Marketing:

  • Assist in preparing new client briefing documents/presentation materials.
  • Create/maintain company documents.
  • Update and create advocacy materials for clients.
  • Assist and collaborate with team members to prepare, write, and edit press releases/statements for distribution to media when needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in communications, client relations, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and applications.
  • Experience with PDF software (e.g., Adobe or Nitro), Canva, or other content creation tools is preferred.
  • Ability to learn new software and enhance existing management processes.
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Must have the ability to work both in a traditional office environment and/or from home.

Position Details:

  • Hybrid work model initially (3-4 days on-site to get established).

Salary, Benefits, & Additional Information:

  • $65,000 – $85,000 (negotiable depending on experience)
