What you will do:
  • Preparing, editing, filing, and serving pleadings and correspondence
  • Scheduling meetings and depositions, including court reporters
  • Communicating with clients, witnesses, opposing counsel, and court personnel
  • Obtaining, organizing, and maintaining client medical records
  • Organizing medical records for experts
  • Reviewing and preparing discovery requests and responses
  • Negotiating subrogation claims
  • Assisting with trial preparation
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in civil litigation, particularly in medical malpractice/personal injury cases
  • Familiarity with local court rules in Ohio
  • Ability to quickly adapt to and utilize various e-discovery, case management, and practice management technologies
  • Proficiency in personal computer skills, including Outlook, Word, & Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Capacity to work independently and maintain strict confidentiality
  • Outstanding organizational, document review, revision, and editing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication abilities
